BHOPAL: A low-floor bus of Bhopal city link limited (BCLL) hit the boundary wall of Shahjahanabad police station after the brakes of the bus were failed.
The TR-4 series bus was plying between Mandideep to Gandhi Nagar. A 45-year-old man sustained injuries in the hit while a minor girl and another person escaped with bruises. At the time, over 15 passengers were onboard.
According to BCLL officials, the bus was ferrying passengers from Mandideep and was heading towards Gandhi Nagar, when the driver lost control on it and hit the boundary wall of Shahjahanabad police station before ramming into an auto.
It was at around 04:30 pm when the bus hit an auto and the driver Ahmad Ali who was inside sustained injuries while passengers escaped unhurt. The driver of the bus Santosh Razak fled the area leaving the bus on the spot. He was later booked for the incident by Shahjahanbabad police.
Shahjahanabad SHO Zaheer Khan said the bus has been seized and hunt is on to nab the driver who is on the run.
