Bhopal: Ministers scanning files signed during BJP regime

Bhopal: Ministers in state government, after taking charge of their departments, have begun to scan files signed during the erstwhile BJP government. They, by scrutinizing old cases, are preparing to grill the BJP leaders. The ministers are also reviewing the tendering process and other works done during the BJP government so as to find out the irregularities.

Chief Minister Kamal Nath too has called all information related to tenders passed before the code of conduct came into force. Nath has asked his ministers to review the works done during the previous government and find out irregularities if any.

Ministers of urban administration, water resources and public health engineering are reviewing the works. They have asked officers to furnish information about the work done by the previous government. The ministers are also discussing with senior officers to know more about the departments.

PWD minister Sajjan Singh Verma has sought a list of all officers against whom cases were registered with Lokayukta and Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Minister for urban development and housing department, Jaivardhan Singh is also reviewing the works done during the term of previous government. Singh has sought information on Smart City. Minister for water resources Hukum Singh Karada is also reviewing the works of his department and he has information about the tenders issued in the past.
