Bhopal: After a brief spell of chill, temperature increased marginally in the state as the western disturbance has started moving eastward. However, day as well as night temperature is still reeling below normal but it has started rising slowly. Western disturbance had affected the state causing rain and hailstorm.
Pachmarhi still recorded 6 degree Celsius degree which was four notches below normal. Mandla also recorded 6 degree Celsius. Seoni and Betul districts are still in grip of cold wave as temperature remained 5 degree Celsius below normal. Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 24.4 degree Celsius which was three degree Celsius below normal, while minimum temperature hovered at around 10.6 degree Celsius, two notches below normal.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 25.3 degree Celsius which was four degree Celsius below normal while minimum temperature was 12.5 degree Celsius, around two degree Celsius above normal.
Pachmarhi recorded a maximum temperature of 22.0 degree Celsius which was one degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degree Celsius which was four degree Celsius above normal.
According to meteorological department, a Western Disturbance lying over North Jammu and Kashmir, is moving eastwards. An anti-cyclone is prevailing over North Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining areas so day and night temperatures have witnessed a rise marginally in many parts of Madhya Pradesh. Mercury is likely to go up in coming days.
