BHOPAL: “Neurological problems are often associated with just madness and psychological disorders but most of the neurological problems result in physical changes and problems to a person suffering from any neurological disorder”, said Dr Anurag Chaturvedi, Neurologist, Medanta Medacity, Gurgaon who was in the city to attend a camp at Career Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday.

More than 150 neuro patients who came for check up at the camp complained of spinal problems and back pains apart from migraine, epilepsy, stroke and paralysis. Dr Prakash Agarwal informed that a team from Medanta Medacity was called for the camp which was led by Dr Chaturvedi and the patients who need immediate treatment have been referred to specialists.

Dr Chaturvedi talking about neurological diseases said that neurological diseases are very unpredictable and that is why they take much longer time in treatment. “No medicine can give immediate relief in neurological problems. One has to be patient. People confuse stroke with just heart stroke but it is also a neurological disorder. In this camp, we have also initiated a direct communication between doctor and patient as the patient can directly contact us and discuss his or her problem too on Whatsapp or over call”, he said.
