GWALIOR: Media shows the mirror to all the three pillars of democracy and they decide their policies and future course of action based on the feedback provided by the media. Hence, it is necessary that media should be in constant touch with all sections of society.
This was stated by divisional commissioner SN Rupla as chief guest at the Media Samvad workshop organised by the public relations department at Hotel Adityas here on Sunday.
Rambhuvan Singh Kushwaha and Suresh Sharma from Bhopal, Ajit Singh, editor of the local edition of Nai Dunia, journalist Rajendra Shrivastava, Satyaprakash Verma, Rajdev Pande, Anup Bhargava, Javed Khan, Varun Gupta were present.
Kushwaha said dialogue was important in democracy. He said the people were the real rulers of this country and the media helped their voice reach the government. He said lack of communication between the people and the media persons would spell doom for democracy. Rajendra Shrivastava shared his experiences. The programme was conducted by PRO Hitendra Bhadoria. Joint director, public relations DD Shakyavar proposed the vote of thanks.
