Bhopal: An MBBS student died after the car she was travelling in skidded off the road and overturned after ramming into the hospital’s board on Wednesday night. The accident occurred near turning point of Barkeda Bondar Naibasti. An eyewitness Hariprasad Kushwaha who is a farmer told police that he witnessed the accident from his field.
He said at around 9:30pm he saw a Maruti car bearing registration number MP-04-CS-0263 being driven at high speed, coming from 11 Meel Bhori side. It fell into a ditch and took 4-5 turns before hitting Shankar Dayal Sharma Ayurvedic Hospital and coming to a halt.
After the collision, the girl sitting inside was thrown out from the car and died on the spot. While Jayant Agrawal who was on the wheels fell unconscious. He was taken out from the driver’s seat by police personnel who reached spot after being informed by Hariprasad.
According to Khajuri police , the deceased girl is identified as Ankita Gupta, 24, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan. She was in final year of in Peoples medical college and lived in college hostel. Her father Anil Gupta is posted in medical department in Bharatpur. The injured youth is admitted in ICU of JK hospital where his condition is reported to be critical.
