Bhopal: As many as 63,000 youths, including 2800 from Bhopal, have registered themselves for Yuva Swabhimaan Yojana. More worrying is the fact that MBAs, engineers and post-graduates are applying for the registrations bringing to fore the grave unemployment crisis in the state. The record of registration would be sent to urban bodies. Under the scheme, the youths would be given 100 days employment. They would be given around Rs 13000 at the rate of Rs 4000 per month for 100 days work.
According to sources, a large number of engineers have got themselves registered under the scheme. The youths would be imparted training and given work in urban bodies. Several of the youths, who were attending the inaugural programme of the scheme at Lal Parade Ground, were highly qualified.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders maintain that it was the fault of 15-year misrule of BJP government in the state that educated youths are running from pillar to post looking for job.
