BHOPAL: With Lok Sabha elections fast approaching, the BJP and Congress leaders in state capital are not leaving any occasion to display their hegemony. In recent past the leaders of two warring factions have publically displayed this and again on Friday it was evident at a function here .
Minister PC Sharma and Mayor Alok Sharma were to jointly inaugurate new pink parking lot at New Market. While, Mayor came at the venue in time, the minister arrival got delayed. After waiting around an hour for minister’s arrival, Mayor left the venue without participating in the ceremony.
It was only after his departure that the minister arrived. When minister was informed that Sharma had left after waiting for him for an hour, he called him up on phone. It was only after speaking to minister that Mayor returned to the venue and the two jointly inaugurated the parking lot.
A few days back, Mayor had walked out of a programme when he was not allowed to propose vote of thanks. Just a week back, BJP lawmaker Vishwas Sarang and PC Sharma had engaged in verbal duel over inauguration of a park in Narela. Two FIRs have been registered in this connection.
