Bhopal: Married woman, youth commit suicide

Bhopal: Two people, including a 25-year-old woman, committed suicide in separate incidents in Bhopal on Tuesday. According to police, in one of the incident, 27-year-old Shailendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Ashoka Garden locality allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at his friend’s house located in the neighbourhood in the locality on Tuesday at 11 am. His friend was out of station and had handed him over the key of house to look after.

His body was found hanging by the neighbours after which police was informed. Police informed that no suicide note was found which could suggest the reasons behind his suicide. A case has been registered under Section 174 of CrPC and started investigations into the incident, police said. In another incident, a 25-year-old woman, Manjusha Patil, committed suicide by hanging self in her house located in Harshwardhan Nagar under TT Nagar police station area on Tuesday morning. It was her first wedding anniversary on Tuesday and her husband is employed in factory and he had returned from night shift duty in the morning. Police have recovered a suicide note from the spot, which was written in August 2016 stating that she would commit suicide if her husband harassed her.

Investigation officer assistant sub-inspector Shivlal Solanki said that the deceased used to  work as an accountant in an electronics showroom in Bittan Market while her husband Gyandev Patel used to work in Godrej Harsh India factory in Mandideep. “Gyandev told police that he returned home at around 8 am and knocked the door but to no reply. He then informed her father and police after which they broke open the door and found her hanging from the ceiling fan of the room. They rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. The couple used to have frequent quarrels over financial crisis which her husband admitted in his statement given to police. Police have registered the incident under Section 174 of CrPC and investigation is on,” Solanki said.
