BHOPAL: After the state BJP chief Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, party national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya has also expressed the possibility that some Congress leaders may soon join the BJP. Answering a question from a media person about Kamal Nath’s imminent entry into the BJP here on Tuesday, he said that many Congress leaders are knocking at the door of the BJP, adding that it for the BJP to decide who it wants to allow inside and who it wants to turn back. And this decision will be taken on merits.
Vijayvargiya said that the Congress was already in dire straits and the UP poll outcome has worsened its lot. He said that besides the magic of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the magic of Modi was also working in the state and the Congress was staring at a bleak future.
He said that the decisions being taken by the new government in UP cannot be replicated in MP. The people of UP were demanding that slaughter houses must be closed down. As for loan waiver, he said the condition of farmers was pitiable in UP while in MP they were flourishing.
Vijayvargiya said that geographical factors should be taken into consideration while taking a decision on demands for new states. The carving out of Chhattisgarh from Madhya Pradesh has done no good to both the states, he said.
