Bhopal: The students of MANIT, Bhopal have won many medals at the inter-IIT annual sports meet- Asmita on Thursday. This year, Asmita was organised at IIT Allahabad and the students of newest IIT of India, IIT Bhopal took part in a national level sports event for the first time.
Second year student, Anmol Aggrawal won a gold medal in the power-lifting category and Arnav Vishwakarma won a bronze medal in the same event. In the leadership of Jayansh Lalge, the athletics team reached final of the tournament while, the volley-ball team reached the quarter finals.The students also participated in Cricket, Football, Badminton, Chess and other sports. The institute was led by Rahul Yadav. With the enthusiasm of the students of first year and cooperation of second year, the institute got a golden and winning start at this championship.
