Bhopal: Man nabbed with Rs 5 Lakh in scrapped currencies

BHOPAL: Crime Branch of Bhopal Police nabbed a suspect for allegedly smuggling notes into the city.

The accused used to allegedly replace old currency notes with new ones.

Police have recovered old notes to the tune of Rs 5 Lakh from his possession.

Crime Branch team, on a tip off, nabbed one Mohd. Intkhab, son of Saleem, age 32 years, resident of Chaukse Nagar.

During searching of his car near 1250 Hospital main gate, old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000, to the tune of Rs 500000 were recovered. The suspect could not give satisfactory reply on quizzing. A case under section 102 has been registered.
