Bhopal: Man held for biting off nose of woman

BHOPAL: The police have arrested a person who had allegedly bitten off the nose of woman and snatched her mobile handset at Fortune Delight under Bagsewania police station. Acting on a tip off, the Bagsewania police held Surendra Atre,19, son of Vishnu Prasad Atre from House no-6, Adarsh Nagar.

 SP Sidhardha Bahuguna, while interacting with media, said, “Ravi Tanya, 27, daughter of Ravindra Singh Bhadauria, was on her way to home after getting down at Ahmedpur bus stand at on February 14 at 8 PM. She had switched on the torch of her mobile hand set as it was dark. In the meantime, Surendra followed her and tried to snatch her mobile hand set. But when Tanya resisted, he attached her. She had sustained injuries on nose and hand.  She reported the matter to police station.”

He told the police that he mobile broke down so he snatched her mobile hand set. He confessed his involvement in mobiles handset thefts at Kanha Mobile Palace Gallery. Twenty five mobile handsets were recovered from Surendra and his friends in theft case.
