BHOPAL: A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance after his sister refused to cook non-veg for him at TT Nagar area on Sunday. The family members immediately rushed him to Hamiaia hospital where doctors declared him brought dead and informed the police.
According to the TT Nagar police, the deceased has been identified as Sahib Rao, son of Sawalelal Sejwal, a resident of I-55/17 in TT Nagar area. Around five years ago, the wife and children of deceased had separated from him and started living in Mumbai. Since then Sahib was under immense depression and here he was living at his sister’s house. The sister of the deceased tried hard to reunite her brother with his family but every time his wife refused to live along with Sahib.
The deceased’s sister in her statement told police that on Saturday evening, his brother insisted to cook chicken for him but as it was Saturday, she refused for non-veg. Irked over her refusal, Sahib went inside his room where he consumed poison and when family members rushed him to Hamidia hospital for treatment, he was pronounced dead.
