Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 25-year-old man received burn injuries in Nariyalkheda on Friday, the police said. He died while undergoing treatment at hospital on Monday.
Investigating officer (IO) Sudarshan Dwivedi said man charred to death was Shahwar Ali (25) who worked at a scrap yard in Teela Jamalpura. His younger brother Kashif told police that he and Shahwar lived with their maternal uncle.
A few days back, their another maternal uncle Sajid began living with them. He asked the two brothers to find another accommodation over which they had frequent arguments with Sajid.
On Friday, Shahwar had a heated argument with Sajid. Soon, Shahwar came out of the house screaming as his clothes had caught fire. He told Kashif that their uncle Sajid had set him on fire.
Shahwar was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to burns at 3.30 pm on Monday. Dwivedi said statements of other relatives of Shahwar would be recorded.
