BHOPAL: The male nurses of the state, who were on their way to Vidhan Sabha were stopped at Neelam park and were thoroughly thrashed by the police. The male nurses were going to Vidhan Sabha to protest against non-appointment of male nurses in government hospitals. The male nurses have been demanding the appointment of male nurses since 2015. Anuj Pratap Singh, state president, Nursing students organisation informed that the police stopped them and forced them to return. He said, “We were even beaten and then they took us to Central Jail where they kept us till evening. Last year in July, we met CM and he promised that male nurses will be soon appointed but MP is the only state where about 40,000 male nurses are not appointed”.
