BHOPAL: The state government has decided to act tough with the banks showing reluctance in sanctioning loans under government schemes. An incident came to light during ‘Samadhan Online’ whence a youth faced problems in getting a loan sanctioned by a Bank of Maharashtra branch in Chhindwara. Commissioner, institutional finance, has issued an order that any department or corporation that deposits additional funds in banks should not deposit it in Maharashtra banks for one year.
The order has come as a warning to the banks, which create problems in giving loans under government schemes.
