‘Winners to represent MP in All-India Police Sports Meet’
BHOPAL: The 55th State-level Annual Sports Competition 2016 of Madhya Pradesh Police ended on Monday at Lal Parade Ground police stadium. Sports and youth minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia awarded the winning sportspersons at the concluding ceremony. DGP Rishi Shukla was also present at the event to congratulate the winners.
The minister on the occasion said she was proud to see such disciplined and trained police players and this proved that Madhya Pradesh had good sportspersons. She also said there was a need to encourage more women to come in sports as it empowered them.
DGP Shukla said the winners will represent Madhya Pradesh in All-India Police Sports Meet.
At the concluding ceremony, 100 metres and 400 metres relay race final was conducted. Pushpendra Kumar of Gwalior North zone won the 100 metres and 400 metres race. Band performance was also organised to honour the chief guest.
