BHOPAL: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that challenges change with times. Earlier farmers were suffering because of shortage of produce but now because of good quality of seeds and other facilities their produce grows in excess. Therefore they do not get appropriate price and commit suicide. Nath was speaking at CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) MP state annual meeting on Saturday.

Nath said owing to agrarian crisis food processing industry has a huge scope in MP. He assured businessmen that state government will facilitate them at every step. He reiterated that the industries providing more employment will get preference. “Investment is an article of faith and not demand,” said Nath insisting that he prefers such interactive sessions rather than organising investment summits.

Replying to question, Nath said that the state government will make a chapter on artificial intelligence and data analytics mandatory in schools to attract more students in the field which is full of potential. Nath also agreed on the need to establish more private schools and colleges at block and panchayat level.

Working on skill development, industrial policy
Nath said that his government is working on improving upon skill development policy for the state besides making sector wise policy for industries. Responding to a question, CM said that government is seriously working on revising the industrial policy. Citing an example, Nath said that he received a mail from USA saying that his company has 25 acre of land in IT Park. Now that person wants to sublet a part of it but there is no clause in the policy which takes care of his requirement. CM said that such mistakes in the policy lead to failure of the whole objective.
