Bhopal: Ashoka Garden police arrested an 18-year-old teenager who along with his friends had stabbed a youth to death over love triangle at Prabhat Square on Sunday. The teenager was nabbed from ISBT on Wednesday evening. The accused identified as Ritesh Thakur aka Ram, resides in Rachna Nagar and is preparing for competitive exams. He is native of Sagar district.
During the investigation police found that Ajay was in relationship with the girl whom Ritesh used to love. Ritesh had known the girl since school days. Ritesh, on spotting her with Ajay, told the girl to keep away from him (Ajay). Much to his disliking, the girl continued to meet Ajay.
Ritesh even interacted with Ajay over facebook to confirm their relationship and when he came to know the truth, he started threatening him. Not ready to accept their relationship, Ritesh conspired with his friends to kill him. On Sunday, through his friends, Ritesh sent a message to Ajay seeking a meeting to resolve the issue.
Unaware of their ill-intention, Ajay came to meet them near Prabhat Petrol pump square and during the discussion, Ritesh and his friends attacked Ajay with knife and stabbed him on his neck. Seeing him profusely bleeding, Ritesh and Yash Mishra rushed him to National Hospital in car. On learning that doctors had declared him brought dead, Ritesh and others fled from hospital. Police have arrested Ritesh when he was visiting the area to meet his friends.
