Bhopal: The contradictions in the statements of top BJP leaders, after party’s defeat in assembly polls, are clearly visible. In a meeting on Lok Sabha elections held on Wednesday, the views of Leader of opposition (LoP) Gopal Bhargava was different from the ones of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Bhargava in his speech said that the defeat of the party in the assembly polls had put the party workers into depression.
He said the party workers were disappointed and the defeat had developed pessimism in them. Bhargava said if we launch our political campaign for Lok Sabha polls effectively then we would win.

On the other hand, Chouhan in his address, refuted the statement of Bhargava saying that the party workers were excited and they were ready to avenge the defeat in the assembly polls. Chouhan said people were sure that the BJP would form its government and they intentionally gave vote to other party candidate at many places, believing that it would not matter. Chouhan said such people are now repenting of their act.

Chouhan said BJP’s condition on 20 seats is good and there is tough contest on 9 seats. He said we could get last time’s results of Lok Sabha polls, if we work with full might. Chouhan said Chief Minister was limited up to Delhi, Davos and Chhindwara. He said that the morale of goons had risen to such a level that girls were beaten up during a programme on the Republic Day in Khujner. He said we could win from Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat by raising this issue properly.

Ramlal gives free hand to Singh for changes in party organisation

National organisational general secretary Ramlal in the meeting gave free hand to state president Rakesh Singh for making changes in party organisation. Ramlal asked Singh to make changes in district presidents, state-level office bearers and changes at mandal-level in a month’s time. He also asked him to appoint or remove people soon following Lok Sabha polls.
