BHOPAL: Director general of police (DGP), Rishi Shukla, addressing the meeting of the joint police welfare advisory committee at Police Training and Research Institute (PTRI) here on Monday, urged police personnel to enhance their professional efficiency and also take care of their family members. He asked them to look after education and health of their children. Shukla assured them that they had full backing of the police family.
Shukla said he would take a decision on the suggestions given in the meeting within three months.
Various issues related to police welfare were discussed in the meeting. It was decided in the meeting to hike ‘Paropkar Nidhi’, which is given to a policeman in the event of his death, from Rs 50,000 to Rs.1, 00,000.
