Bhopal: Former Congress MLA from Mahidpur assembly constituency Kalpana Parulekar has been found guilty in the case in which she showed morphed photograph of the then Lokayukta Justice PP Naolekar in Vidhan Sabha on November 30, 2011. The house was in session at that time.
ADJ Arvind Kumar Goel on Tuesday ordered two years of imprisonment to Parulekar under Sections 465, 469 and 471 of IPC. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 12,000 on her. All the punishment will be concurrent. In 2011, during a debate on the no-confidence motion moved by the Opposition, ex-MLA Kalpana Parulekar had charged Justice Naolekar with having RSS links and flashed a photograph to shore up her argument.
She showed the same photograph to the media and said as long the retired Supreme Court judge was the Lokayukta in MP, the corrupt in the BJP government had nothing to worry. BJP had condemned it and had said it was morphed photograph of Naolekar as face on the photograph was that of RSS Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat.
Special Public Prosecutor PM Sewade said Congress leader Kalpana Parulekar has been convicted in case in which she had shown morphed photograph of the then Lokayukta PP Naolekar.
