Bhopal: Jehangirabad police have arrested son of a Lokayukta inspector for furnishing forged documents related to permission of firearms at Vallabh Bhawan and presented him in the court from where he was sent to jail on Wednesday.
Two more accused had been already arrested held by the police in this case. SHO, Jehangirabad Preetam Singh Thakur said that Anurag Pratap had surrendered before the police. He hails from Indore and works as a recovery agent in HDFC Bank while his father Satyendra Pratap Singh is posted as inspector in the Lokayukta office.
Earlier director of Indore based private law college, Karan Bhatiya was arrested by the police after he furnished copy of a forged latter at Vallabh Bhawan related to permission for possession of firearm which he received on WhatsApp in his mobile phone around three months ago.
During quizzing, he revealed name of a person Ashish, who told Karan that his friend Anurag who is son of Lokayukta inspector would easily fetch permission letter for him. The deal was fixed at Rs 1.5 lakh.
Later, Ashish was also arrested by the police while Karan Bhatiya managed to get bail from the high court. The third accused Anurag who was absconding in the case himself surrendered before the police after which he was presented in the court from where jail warrant has been issued against him and he was sent to jail.
