Bhopal: The Congress had intensified its Lok Sabha election preparations, LS constituency in-charges will going to submit the names panel to the state in-charge Deepak Bawaria, on February 5. After marginally outnumbering BJP in the assembly elections, the Congress wants to uproot the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
Out of the 29 LS seats in MP presently the BJP has 26 seats. Bawaria will conduct a meeting of LS in-charges, leaders will submit a panel of at least three names to Bawaria. In some constituencies the names may be more then 3 and the report will be sent to the AICC election committee for the considerations.
The party leaders including MLAs and ministers have been given responsibilities to ensure that Congress leads in their areas in the election. The leaders are making restless effort eyeing the elections. They are taking the stock from the booth level and identifying the shortcomings of the machinery in the assembly elections.
The state vice president Prakash Jain said in the assembly elections in 12-LS constituencies the Congress had secured more votes compared to BJP. He added that in five LS constituencies BJP and Congress had got almost same number of votes, “As per the assembly elections figures the Congress is in winning position in 17-LS constituencies.” He added that whichever the party is in the power the voters normally gives the votes to the party. And the around 5 percent voters are floating voters and their mindset is depends upon the works of the government.
