Bhopal: Living near mobile tower as safe as any other place, Experts

Bhopal: Living near a mobile tower is as safe as any other place and there is no threat of carcinogenic emission in the area, stated experts citing the data of World Health Organsation and other credible agencies in a workshop on Wednesday. The workshop was addressed by top notch officials of telecommunication department and other institutes.

Addressing the gathering, Vinod Gupta, deputy director general of compliance MP, said that the government has ensured ways to check the frequency of emit in our areas. He informed about the level of frequency which is emitted from the towers and told that it is within permissible level and has no ill-effect on our health.

Similarly, Dr Suresh V S Atili from Hyderabad said that the mobiles too are safe but we should use it with an earphone. In case it is used sans earphone and its temperature rises, then the mobile should be taken to other ear otherwise it will affect us, he said. Other experts also expressed their views in the workshop and said that you can invite a team to your houses or colonies at some nominal charge or even for free, to find the level of frequency of the emission from the towers in your areas.
