Bhopal: Humidity level enhanced the discomfort level in the state capital on Tuesday while traces of rain and sunny weather prevailed throughout the day. However, the eastern pocket of state experienced moderate rain and thundershower. In fact, western districts of state too witnessed showers of light to moderate intensity.

In a span of 24 hours, Bhind recorded 7cm rainfall while Katni recorded 4cm while Umaria and Balaghat each recorded 3cm rainfall. Hanumana recorded 2cm rainfall and Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Budani, Bhainsdehi, Sohagpur, Baraseoni, Singrauli and Rehli recorded 1cm rainfall.

We can expect rainfall activities to rise over many parts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 48 hours. During this course of time, cities like Betul, Hosangabad, Jabalpur, Umaria, Damoh, Dewas and Seoni would get good Monsoon rain and thundershower.

Whereas, Ujjain, Ratlam and Indore districts may get scattered light to moderate rain. Rains will once more pick up pace over East Madhya Pradesh around August 19. According to meteorological department, light to moderate rain with few heavy spells are likely over East Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas.
