Officials of Indian Metereological Department (IMD), Bhopal have earlier termed the light showers and dirt-storms are part of the pre-monsoon activities and would continue till May 20 after which Monsoon is expected to enter the state.
“These pre-monsoon activities would not cause much change in the temperature in the next two days. These activities which are going on since last few days are because of a cyclonic development over north-west and central Madhya Pradesh. On Wednesday, the temperature is expected to be 42 degrees C with dirt storms and light showers during evening,” said director of IMD, Bhopal, Anupam Kashyapi adding that there would also be light showers in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Indore divisions in the state.
