As per the meteorological department, the reason for these rains can be attributed to the trough that is extending from Northwest Rajasthan up to Bangladesh across North Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh.
As this trough is expected to persist for some more time, light rain may continue in some parts of Madhya Pradesh and most parts of Chhattisgarh. Moreover, due to scanty rainfall, heat wave conditions are expected to make a comeback in many parts of Madhya Pradesh.
