Omkareshwar: Holi brought cheer and joy for as many 122 families in Omkareshwar as they received housing lease papers under Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana on Tuesday. Government will be providing financial aid of Rs 2.50 lakh to the beneficiaries for construction of their own house.
Presenting lease papers, Mandhata MLA Lokendra Singh Tomar said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan have an aim in common that every family should have their own house by 2021”.
District panchayat vice president Devi Kishan Chaudhari, nagar panchayat president Mayabai Chauhan, vice president Sanjay Parashar, CMO Devendra Singh Chauhan and others were present during the programme. On this occasion, MLA performed bhoomi pujan for development work worth lakhs of rupees in this pilgrimage town. A Nishadraj Bhawan will also be constructed.
