Bhopal: The 4th edition of NLIU Justice RK Tankha Memorial International Arbitration Moot has been organised by NLIU Bhopal from February 22-24. The event is being organised in association with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), L&L Partners Law Offices and the Office of Mr Vivek Tankha.
More than 150 students participated in the event including teams from NUS Singapore, as well as law institutes from Nepal, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Chief guest of the inaugural ceremony was ex-supreme court judge justice V Gopala Gowda.

This symposium witnessed two hours of engaging discussion, featuring leading professionals from the field of International Arbitration from India and abroad as panellists. The symposium was based on the Tylney Hall Format which ensures an interactive session for the participants. Justice V Gopala Gowda said, “Law College students’ performance is better than trial court lawyers in mooting. I foresee a great future for them in arbitration.”
Kevin Nash said, “India is the largest consumer of SIAC services which depicts its potential in arbitration.” Kevin even invited the Indian students are welcomed for internship program in SIAC. This International Moot Competition and Symposium provides an opportunity to the participants to gain experience, learn and understand this upcoming and promising field of law i.e., arbitration. This competition comprises two preliminary rounds, followed by quarterfinals on 23rd Feb, 2019, and semi-finals and the final round on 24th Feb, 2019.
