Bhopal: Wife of former chief minister late Arjun Singh, Saroj Singh, and her daughter Bina Singh, who had moved court against Leader of Opposition (LoP) Ajay Singh, have no possibility of getting any assistance from the state government.
Industrialist Sam Verma had met revenue minister Umashankar Gupta on Thursday over mutation of Kerwa Kothi. Verma and Bina also met principal secretary, revenue, Hariranjan Rao. According to sources, after Saroj Singh moved court, the officers of revenue department had got all documents related to Kerwan Kothi examined. No irregularity was found prima facie in these documents.
The registry was done in the name of Ajay Singh in 2010 and its mutation was done in 2011. As per rules, Bina Singh was supposed to appeal against the mutation in 60 days. She did not appeal in the given time. According to the provisions under revenue related rules, any person could file appeal later, citing ignorance of mutation rules.
Bina Singh will now have to appeal against mutation done by tehsildar to sub-divisional magistrate (SDM). The government has nothing to do with the matter. Meanwhile, Ajay Singh had submitted documents related to Kerwa Kothi land in the court. Saroj Singh had also filed a case of harassment. Her statements have also been recorded in the case.
