BHOPAL: Worried for her safety, SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) of Panna, Ayushi Jain had demanded the administration to arrest the sand mafia, who had tried to mow her down by a dumper.
The SDM, on Saturday met district collector Manoj Khatri and SP Mayank Awasthi and lodged a written complaint seeking action against sand mafia Bharat Milan Pandey- Congress leader and Janpad president and others who have been threatening her. The officer had a narrow escape on Thursday when sand mining mafia allegedly tried to mow her down with dumper.
FIR was lodged after several efforts but the main culprit has not been caught yet. Ayushi in her complaint has also named Ajaygarh SDOP and station in-charge who were hesitant in filing an FIR. The officer has demanded removal of these officers, accusing them of dereliction of duty and in being hand in gloves with the sand mafia Pandey .
The women official in her complaint has also mentioned that she could well imagine the pain of common women complainants as she despite herself being an officer was treated in such a manner. She has been running from pillar to post but her pleas have gone unheard till date, read her complaint. The matter has reached the state capital and all senior officials including head of the police and administrative services.
