BHOPAL: District and sessions court, on Wednesday, sent the main accused of the rape of a 3-yr-old in Kidzee play school, to 14-day judicial remand. ADJ Giri Bala sent him to judicial remand. Play school director AP Singh is main accused under ‘Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act’ (POCSO).
Singh was arrested on the instruction of IG after complaint by parents regarding friendship of the SHO and the director. Just because of delay in registering the case due to the friendship, case was handed over to crime branch. The rape case came into notice on February 27. The SHO has also been line-attached.
MP Human Rights Commission has also taken cognizance of police not filing the case in this matter. It has issued notice to Kolar SHO Gaurav Singh Bundela. The commission has also advocated for compensation to the victim’s family and departmental inquiry. The commission has expressed deep concern on the lethargic attitude of the police, specially SHO Bundela
School’s franchise and new admissions have been suspended. Kidzee had taken immediate cognizance of this incident and had informed regarding the complaint received from the parents to the local police station requesting them for further investigation as the complaint was of extremely serious nature.
As per Kidzee, it had also filed its own complaint against the accused with the police. It had instructed the franchisee to fully cooperate with the police and provide the CCTV footages and any other further information as required by the investigating authorities. It had also blocked the e-Kidzee portal of the said franchisee and asked the franchisee to suspend / bar the entry of the accused on immediate basis and temporarily stop all new admissions.
