Chief Minister Kamal Nath is not taking decisions in any matter against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) till Lok Sabha elections. Congress in its Vachan Patra had assured of putting a ban on government employees attending RSS shakhas. It also promised that shakhas of RSS would be banned on the government campuses.
Nath has put on hold taking decision on this point of the Vachan Patra. According to sources the issues related to getting the works done, which do not need financial expenditure, were also sent to Nath. Nath would not be taking any decision on RSS till Lok Sabha elections, added sources.
The promise of putting ban on RSS Shakhas prior to assembly polls had created a lot of controversy. Congress maintains that the promise had damaged the party’s prospects in the elections. According to sources all decisions, which may lead to tension with RSS, are put on hold.
According to sources Nath has also postponed taking decision on removal of employees by shutting down Jan Abhiyaan Parishad for three months. According to sources there are several people in this organisation who are associated to RSS. Nath has also received the probe report of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism but he has not announced any action into the matter.
According to sources there are several proposals before Nath on how to weaken the institutions related to RSS but all of them are pending and he is not taking decision on them. Nath maintains that he does not want to work by targeting anyone. He said whoever has done wrong will come to the fore with time.
