Bhopal: A number of ticket seekers were left disappointed as the Congress state president Kamal Nath who returned from Delhi on Sunday did not make any public appearance. Interestingly, the leader did not meet a single ticket aspirant and retired to his residence for the day.
For last 10 days Nath was in Delhi chalking the poll strategy with members of Congress Scrutiny Committee and Election Committee. The party is still to announce candidates, although the first list of 80 names is said to be finalised. The Committees has to deliberate on the remaining 150 names.
On Sunday as soon as the news of arrival of Nath spread, a number of ticket aspirants from city and adjoining areas started flocking his residence. Many party leaders along with their supporters reached Nath’s residence and camped till evening. The party leaders wanted to meet Nath to stake their claim for the ticket. Nath did not give any public appearance on the day. He did not come to PCC office nor did he meet any ticket seeker till evening.
