BHOPAL: A 26-year-old woman journalist, has filed a complaint against SHO Teela Jamalpura accusing him of ‘misbehaving’ with her. The woman in her police complaint said that she had gone to the police station on Sunday to seek details of her certificates when thana in charge Pyare Lal Singh ‘misbehaved’ with her.
The complainant had an inter-caste marriage and she was visiting police station to seek details of certificate which were issued from ADM office to the local police stations- under the jurisdiction of which the residences of her parents and in-laws come. The journalist said she got the required certificates from Gautam Nagar police station – the areas where her parents reside.
Thereafter, she went to Teela Jamalpura for the certificates as her in-laws live in the area. However she dint get one and when he questioned the SHO for the delay, the officer allegedly asked her ‘if it was her business to collect certificates’. Hurt journalist told the officer that she had come to collect her marriage certificate and had nothing to do with others.
Taking objection to his statement, the journalist then filed a complaint with CSP Shahjahanabad. SHO Pyarelal, however, refuted the allegations claiming that he did not say anything objectionable to hurt the woman.
