BHOPAL: BJP candidate from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, facing ban by Election Commission for 72 hours, has said that temples are her life and people stopping her from going to temples should think about their own lives. Pragya Thakur resumed her campaign from Sunday after the completion of ban period imposed by the Election Commission. She had participated in bhajans in temples during the ban period. Election Commission had served her another notice for violation of ban imposed on her.
Replying to a question asked by media about the notice served to her by the Election Commission, she said, “’Mai Sanyasan hoon, mandir mera jivan hai, jo ise roke, wo apne jeevan bare me soche’ (I am a sanyasin, temples are my life, whoever stops me from doing it should think about his own life).” Pragya had reached Mata Mandir to start her campaign on Sunday. She also said that the ban period proved to be a boon for her.
Earlier, Pragya visited former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and met him and his wife Sadhna Singh and congratulated them on occasion of their wedding anniversary. When asked about EC notice served to her on temple visits during the ban period, she replied that getting such notices is a routine for her.
