Bhopal: IT tools can make libraries more useful

BHOPAL: “Networking can help libraries expand their reach and utility,” said Vinay Singh, faculty at the computer department of Sagar Institute, at a two-day lecture series organised by the Library and Information Science Department of Career College here on Monday. On Tuesday, chief librarian of Regional College PK Tripathi said this was the age of information and IT tools could be used to make libraries more useful. Head of department Praveen Thakre said objective of the programme was to apprise the students of the new developments in the field of technology.
