BHOPAL: The municipal commissioner and his staff have to face the flak of the people of Chandbad area who are grappling with water scarcity on Tuesday morning. Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner B Vijay Dutta during his visit to Chandbad had to face flak of residents of the area who started confronting the staff. They were irked over water supply and other issues affecting the area. According to sources, Dutta was on his routine visit to the areas under Zone number 10.
As he reached the ward number: 37 the residents of the area stopped his four-wheeler to share with him their ordeal due to water scarcity and other issues related to their ward. However, when his guard tried to resist them from behaving that way they manhandled him and after that commissioner and his team returned from there. Commissioner before leaving the area asked the staff to ensure the solution but soon a video of the episode went viral. In the video the residents are seen confronting the staff while the commissioner is seated in his official vehicle. The video also shows the vehicle leaving the area after sometime. However, the Bajaria police did not reach the spot.
