BHOPAL: Inquiry committee constituted to probe irregularities in Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication (MCU) has invited complaints from anyone who has information about irregularities committed in MCU. First meeting of the committee was held on Sunday in MCU premises. All members including ACS Public Relations M Gopal Reddy, OSD to CM M Gopal Reddyand social worker Sandeep Dixit were present. The meeting was held in the presence of VC P Narhari. Committee has asked the university administration to provide information on the points that are being probed. Committee also decided to invite complaints from people who know about it and issued email mcucomplaint@gmail.com. The committee members have said that if a complainant wants, his/her identity would not be disclosed. CM Kamal Nath had formed the committee about a week ago to probe into irregularities and scams that took place in the university. The committee was given fifteen days to submit its report to the CM.
Sources said that the committee has asked for documents related with appointments made in the university throwing all rules to wind. Several companies and individuals were given undue favour in past 15 years, especially during VC Kuthiala’s tenure as VC. CM Nath has given clearly indications that strict action will be taken against the culprits and that university will be made clean from the people belonging to right wing ideology.
