A fire broke out in an incense factory at Labakheda area, on early Thursday. The fire had already gutted the stock there until the teams of fire brigade arrived there. The reason of fire was not known and the amount of loss too was not revealed by the owner. According to fire brigade officials, the fire broke out at around 6 am in the unit at Lambakheda area. The fire broke out in the store where the raw power used in the incense sticks was kept for further use.
At around, 6 am the on duty guards spotted fire and tried to douse it but soon the flames turned very intense and fire brigade was informed. Over three fire fighters and water tankers were pressed into action. The firemen from Gandhi Nagar and nearby stations took around 2 hours to douse the flames. The factory allegedly did not had enough fire safety arrangements as its workers failed to douse it while it is said that it belongs to a Congress leader.
