Bhopal: In a first, Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has made provision for live webcasting of examination for class 10 and 12 to check mass copying and use of unfair means. Moreover, videography will also be done at sensitive exam centres.
In pilot project live webcasting will be done in two districts Bhind and Morena- notorious for mass copying. Both districts have been placed under highly sensitive districts by the board for use of using unfair means during exams. Collectors of these districts will chose 20 centres each considered to be the most sensitive. These centres will make all preparations required for live webcast.
The control room at district headquarter and at the board office will have access to webcast. Officials sitting in Bhopal and other places can monitor the situation at the exam centres.
Moreover, provisions have also been made for videography in six districts placed under sensitive category by the education board. Bhind, Morena, Gwalior, Rewa, Dewas and Indore have been placed under sensitive zone. Large scale mass copying had been reported from these places in past.
Secretary MP Education Board, Ajay Gangwar said that more focus will be laid on examination papers like maths, English, science etc. for webcasting and videography. Not only this, extra police will also be deployed at such examination centres.
Secretary, education board said that extra funds have been allocated to these districts. Amount of Rs 1 lakh each have been sent to all districts to curb mass copying while additional Rs 2 lakh each have been sent to districts placed under sensitive zone and Rs 4 lakh for the highly sensitive districts. MP Board exams for class 12 will begin from March 1 and for class 10 from March 2.
