BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, during video-conferencing with collectors, here at Mantralaya on Thursday, urged them to celebrate Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day with enthusiasm. He said Madhya Pradesh has become a mature entity aged 60 years and it is touching new heights of development.
Chouhan said agenda for the welfare of the people will be unveiled on December 4 and a huge ‘Mahakumbh’ for poor will be organised at Jamboree Maidan in the city. Chouhan urged officials to start making preparations for the said events. He said on the 11th anniversary of state government on November 29, various development and public welfare programmes will be organised. A high-level committee for this has been constituted.
Chouhan reminded to implement 11-point agenda in letter and in spirit. He said the deadline to achieve the target is set.
The work done will be assessed after three and six months. On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, national Unity Day would be celebrated. Programmes like oath taking for national unity, rally with patriotic songs and run for unity will be organised. Chief minister appreciated the services of chief secretary Antony de Sa.
