Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan appealed to the legislators, district presidents and office-bearers of the party to remain stronger than the Congress at the grassroots. Chouhan made the above remark at a meeting at CM House on Monday. He said he had feedback of all the MLAs with him.
MLAs and district presidents should work together in coordination. He said factionalism in the district is dangerous. Chouhan said election time has come and all should work in tandem. Chouhan asked them to devote all energies to make Vikas Yatras a success. He said Congress is just making superficial claims but the BJP is strong at the grassroots. Chief minister said if people are told about the governmental schemes properly then no one could stop you to win the elections.
Chouhan claimed the scheme made by the government for unorganized workers has been unprecedented. He said workers need to avail benefit of it. Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar too asked the legislators and district presidents to jump into the election arena with full might. He said the Central government led by Narendra Modi and Shivraj government in the state have done significant works. Tomar said the MLA who knows what public wants will have no problem in winning the elections.
Meeting of poll management committee today The first meeting of BJP election management committee will be held on Tuesday. The meeting, headed by Narendra Singh Tomar as its president, will mark discussion on party’s strategy for election and Vikas Yatras. The issues to grill Congress and the state tour of BJP national president Amit Shah will also be discussed in this meeting. During his tour, Shah will be discussing party’s strategy for the upcoming elections.
