Bhopal: Hurt Sindhi community approaches EC over RaGa’s comment on Advani

Taking strong objection to Congress national president Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Joota’ comment on BJP leader L K Advani, members of Sindhi community on Tuesday lodged a complaint with election commission.  President of Sindhu Educational Welfare Association (SEWA), Durgesh Keswani said that AICC president Rahul Gandhi in his election speech at Chandrapur in Maharashtra had said on Friday that Modi kicked Advani off stage (‘joota marke stage se Utara’).

Keswani said, the Congress president again repeated the offensive statement in Haridwar on Saturday saying that Modi ‘kicked out’ his own guru Advani. The delegation member Vikas Virani said that Sindhi community is enraged over such statements. Advani is a respected leader among the community and Rahul Gandhi’s statement has hurt Sindhi community’s sentiments. The delegation demanded action under violation of model code of conduct on Gandhi.
