Bhopal: Acting on a tip off that a racket is involved in human trafficking on Bhopal-Jhalawar (Rajasthan) route government railway police (GRP) arrested 11 persons including a woman in connection with human trafficking on Monday.
Lucki who is newspaper vendor spotted a lone woman at Bhopal Railway station on August 13. He approached her and calling her sister and after brief chat convinced her to live with him as sister so she became ready to go to Rajasthan with him. He then took her to Rajasthan.
Meanwhile he had informed his brother-in-law and other friends including Mahavir, Zahid, Yushuf, Banwari. So his brother-in-law Firoj received them at the railway station. The woman overheard the conversation between Jamil and Firoj about trafficking and told them to drop her to Bhopal.
They assured her that she will be dropped back to Bhopal. However they took her to to a forest area outraged her modesty. Meanwhile, their other friends including Yushuf, Mahavir and Jahid struck a deal and took her to Banwari Lal Jain, Jawar.
However, the woman somehow managed to escape from their clutch and straightaway went to Jawar police They took her to Mahila Police station in Jhalawar(Rajasthan) got a case registered under section 363,376, 5/6 POCSO Act, and sent the report to GRP Bhopal.
Those arrested include: Luckki alias Shahid, Jamil alias Farooq, Jahid, Banwarilal Jain, Yushuf Mewati, Firoj, Mahavir, all hailing from Jhalawar in Rajasthan. While Dinesh Ahirwar of Rajgarh, Brijesh Dangi of Sehore, Rambabu of Rajgarh, Kamal sen of Rajgarh, and Kallo Bai of Sehore were also arrested.
GRP team which was constituted by ADGP (Rail) GP Singh, IG Rail DP Gupta rounded up 5 accused immediately with the help of Khilchipur police, while they arrested six more persons later. GRP police registered the case 363,376,376(i)(j),370,370(k),3(1),12 and other relevant section of SC/ST Act.
