BHOPAL: Miscreants targeted a house of a retired employee of MP Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) in New Minal Residency and decamped with cash along with goods including silver ornaments and a revolver along with three live cartridges.
Complainant Arun Choubey, 59, of B-214, New Minal Residency, told the police that his parents lived in Jabalpur. On March 16, he along with family had gone to Jabalpur to meet them. While they were returning by Jan Shatabdi Express on Tuesday, one of their neighbours Sapna Jain informed them over phone that the locks of their house were broken. Later reaching home they found their household goods ransacked and the locks of the almirah broken. Cash Rs 5,000 along with silver ornaments and a revolver with cartridges were also found missing. Subsequently, the victim approached Ayodhya Nagar police station and reported the incident. The police registered a case of theft against unidentified burglars and launched a manhunt to nab them.
