BHOPAL: Marathi Sahitya Academy will organise a programme ‘Swagat Hey Navarsh’ on Tuesday to mark Gudi Padwa – the Hindu New Year – at the open air auditorium of Rabindra Bhavan. Ashwin Khare, director of the academy said in a press note that the age-hold tradition of tying Gudi on Gudi Padwa was still alive in the Maharashtrian community. Among the organisations that will be part of the function are Shri Pashupatinath Nepali Samaj, Bhojpuri Ekta Manch, Bengali Association, Andhra Sanskritik Parishad, Tamil Association, MP Chapter of Malayali Association, Gadhwali Samaj, Rajasthani Samaj and Stree Sakhi Mandal.
