BHOPAL: The High Court, on Wednesday, stayed the arrest warrant against PCC spokesman KK Mishra in connection with a defamation case filed against him by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The Bhopal district court, on October 6, had rejected his anticipatory bail plea.

The MP Nagar police had filed charge-sheet against Mishra on September 25 for allegedly forging documents while alleging that a mine was allocated to CM’s kin in Balaghat district. Earlier on June 11, 2015 Mishra held a press conference and alleged that M/S SS Minerals was allotted lease of a manganese mine in Balaghat and the firm is owned by a relative of the CM.

A 17.9-acre mine in Balaghat district reserved for Manganese Ore India Limited (MOIL) was illegally allotted to chief minister’s wife Sadhna Singh in 2007, he had claimed.
